Your First Steps
My referral and intake process includes an initial session to clarify what you are looking for and to see if we are the right clinical match. It's important to find a therapist that has both the appropriate skills and is a good fit for you personally. The following sessions typically include a complete mental health evaluation (diagnosis), recommendations for treatment, and honoring your goals as we decide how to move forward.

Evidence-Based Modalities Rooted in Relational Healing
My practice is anchored in the relationship and a number of empirically based approaches that are trauma informed and rooted in attachment, mindfulness and neuroscience. Healing happens where genuine connection (vulnerability) and clinical skill intersect. I am eclectic, in that I believe there are several paths that can work for my clients, including but not limited to: Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Brainspotting, Mindfulness & yoga.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Skills-based therapy building emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness for lasting behavioral change.

Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy
Attachment-focused approach healing parent-child relational wounds through playful, accepting, curious, and deeply empathic therapeutic engagement.

Brainspotting Trauma Processing
Brain-body therapy accessing trauma stored beneath conscious awareness through focused eye positions and somatic attunement.

Polyvagal Theory
Nervous system-informed approach helping clients understand and regulate their autonomic responses to stress, connection, and perceived threat.

Mindfulness Practice
Cultivating present-moment awareness and compassionate self-observation as a foundation for emotional regulation and sustainable healing.

Therapeutic Yoga
Yin-style yoga integrating breath, body awareness, and grounded movement to befriend the nervous system and support trauma recovery.
